Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Information for Employees

Positive Solutions provides free* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to employees who are experiencing challenges in both their personal and professional life. Our EAP services can provide you with lifelong strategies to assist you in managing issues which may be causing you stress and/or anxiety.

How can Employee Assistance Program help you?

At Positive Solutions we have a team of experienced counsellors, psychologists, social workers and mediators who can assist you with a wide range of issues. Some of these issues may include:

  • stress, anxiety and depression;
  • work/life balance;
  • couple and family issues;
  • family separation
  • managing conflict;
  • addictions;
  • trauma, loss and grief;
  • financial difficulties;
  • work and career problems; and
  • managing change.

Our Service is Confidential

Any service that you engage with at Positive Solutions is 100% confidential. We will only share information with your employer where we are required to by law or where you have consented for us to do so.

Who can use this an Employee Assistance Program?

Where your employer has an agreement with us, you will be able to voluntarily access EAP services at no cost*. This agreement may also apply to your family members. To check if this is the case inquire at your workplace or contact our office.

How do I access this Service?

We are able to provide counselling and support services in our Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport offices. If you are unable to attend one of these locations we are also able to offer appointments via telephone or online. To make an appointment please call our Hobart office during business hours on 6223 5612.

If you are requiring after hours EAP support please call the 1800 number provided to you via your employer.

We have a Prompt Response

All our calls are answered by our Hobart based staff who will arrange an appointment for counselling usually within 72 hours of your request. If you are unable to attend one of our locations we can arrange telephone or online appointments.

Our Staff

All of our services are delivered by qualified and experienced psychologists, social workers, counsellors, mediators and educators who have a diverse range of qualifications and specialisations. Our team works within strict ethical guidelines under best practice policies and procedures. We attend ongoing professional training and development and receive regular supervision.

Dear Clients

Important COVID-19 Update

At Positive Solutions, the safety and well-being of our clients and staff are our priority. As we know, the easing of border restrictions has resulted in the transmission of COVID-19 in the community. To ensure we keep the risk of COVID-19 transmission within Positive Solutions to a minimum, we request:

  • That all clients, staff and visitors wear a mask when visiting Positive Solutions. We request that you supply your own mask.
  • Please remember to use the Check-In Tas app on arrival for each visit.
  • Please use hand sanitiser regularly and maintain social distancing of 1.5m.
  • You will not be able to wait onsite for a family/friend who is attending a session. Where sessions end early we can call to advise.
  • We are continuing to operate face to face but if you are available to attend via phone or online please let us know.
  • If you are exhibiting any cold or flu like symptoms please do not attend the office. We are able to easily reschedule appointments to phone/online if needed.
